Teddy Swims Biography and Toads Place CT History
Teddy Swims is an Atlanta-born singer-songwriter whose raspy, expressive vocals bring together soul, R&B, pop, country-pop, and rock influences. After building an online following with cover performances, he reached a wider audience with original songs including “Lose Control,” “The Door,” and “Bad Dreams.” His music often explores heartbreak, healing, and self-worth, giving audiences plenty of opportunities to join in on the choruses.
“Lose Control” reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, while I've Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 2), released in 2025, continued the album story with songs such as “Bad Dreams” and “Are You Even Real.” Swims' later tour production has featured a full live band, backing vocalists, large-format visuals, and crowd singalongs.
